Are virtual inspections legal for Florida contractors?
Yes. Florida contractors can use virtual inspections when the inspection is eligible for private-provider handling under Florida Statute 553.791 and the project scope supports remote review. FCC determines whether a live or offline inspection method applies.

How do offline virtual inspections work?

No. Some inspection types and project conditions require live review, and some inspections remain with the jurisdiction, including zoning, fire, public works, utilities, right-of-way, drainage, and similar AHJ-retained scopes.
